Norkem are proud to announce that they have been chosen as a strategic partner to represent Cosayach Iodine for their sales into the European market. Cosayach are the second largest producer of iodine in the world and produce high purity iodine from surface mining, water leaching and air stripping process, in the middle of the driest desert of the world, in the north of Chile. The operation consists of three independent units, which produce an intermediate enriched solution close to the mine. This is then transported to a central fusion unit to produce flaked and micro spherical shaped iodine, complying with BP and USP quality standards.
