For many years Norkem has been a leading supplier of Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid and Sodium Metabisulphite. Recently with the addition of further personnel, we have added more products and increased knowledge to our food division.
Citrates:
Norkem is now one of the biggest importers of Citric Acid in to the UK. We are able to offer Citric Acid Anhydrous in both powder and crystal forms, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Citric Acid Solution in bulk, IBC’s and drums, Tri Sodium Citrate and Tri Potassium Citrate.
Sweeteners:
Building on the established Aspartame and Acesulfame K product range, Norkem have expanded into supplying Sodium Saccharin and Succralose.
Preservatives:
Products available include Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate.
Phosphates:
Norkem supply a wide range of phosphates including STPP (Sodium Tri Polyphosphate), TSPP (Tetra Sodium Pyrophosphate), TKPP (Tetra Potassium Phosphate), SAPP (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate) plus many more.
Increased legislation means that distributors have to offer a higher quality service to meet stringent new regulations.
- ValidIT - Norkem has acted positively and pro-actively in gaining ValidIT approval for the supply of Citric Acid. Under this scheme we are approved to supply indirectly to a number of UK supermarkets.
- Our warehouse holds the BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution.
- Norkem ensure its suppliers have the relevant certifications and accreditations, all of which are checked and verified prior to use.
- For all products sold in to the food chain and as part of our due diligence system we positively pre-release materials. This is currently carried out via a UK based UKAS accredited laboratory.
- Norkem are working towards ISO22000, the Food Safety Management System Standard.
