Acesulfame K, also known simply as AceK, is a calorie free artificial sweetener. It is around 180-200 times sweeter than sugar and like some other sweeteners has a bitter after taste. This can be masked by Aspartame, which is why the two are often used in conjunction with each other. It is most commonly used as an additive in diet soft drinks.
