Raising Agents

Norkem have sold Sodium Bicarbonate for nearly 30 years and have built a reputation as one of the leading UK suppliers. Sodium Bicarbonate is the best known raising agent for the food industry, but Norkem also provides alternatives in Potassium Bicarbonate and Ammonium Bicarbonate. These are mainly used in baking to aid aeration and rising during the baking process of breads, cakes and biscuits amongst others.
