Suspensions - Storage and Dosing

Norkem can help in the design, specification and installation of any storage
and dosing system.

Since all products are supplied in suspended form no agitation is required in either bulk
or IBC storage - so long as product guarantee, typically three months, is not passed.

Being the largest supplier in the world means we have more experience of different storage/dosing systems than anybody else and can use our past experience to overcome
your problems. For example, when adding a body colour, colour variations can become evident from the continual starting and stopping of the extruder or mixer. This problem has been overcome by pressurising the body stain so that there is no delay in addition once the mixer re-starts and by use of pneumatic valves to instantly stop flow as the mixer stops.

Norkem BAC70 is added to the clay via a spray-box to give a uniform addition across
the width of the clay on the conveyor.

The Barium suspension can clearly be seen on the clay, prior to mixing, with a total elimination of dust.
