Despite facing new challenges centred around uncertain economic reports, Norkem had another excellent year with Group sales approaching €200 million.
Good progress was made in all the Group companies located in the UK, Spain, Holland and China. Our strategy of concentrating on our major products has proven successful with the addition of both new customers and territories. The Group is now actively buying and selling products in over one hundred countries. We expect this trend to continue and have now established new offices in Turkey, South Africa and Italy.
Our product range is extremely extensive and serves a varied array of industries including those involved in animal feed, pharmaceuticals, construction, food and drink and agrochemical. Major products making good progress are Copper Sulphate, Manganese Compounds, Zinc Oxide, Iodine and Iodine Salts and we see continual growth potential for all of these products.
The building suspensions division continues to make progress throughout Europe and new products such as surface stains have been introduced.
