Material: Calcium Acetate, is the calcium salt of acetic acid. It has the formula Ca(C₂H₃O₂)₂. As it is anhydrous it is quite hygroscopic. Used in kidney dialysis, food additive (confectionery) as a buffer, stabiliser and sequestrant, also used in production of tofu. E263.
