Material: Dextrose is used as a sweetener and a fermentation substrate.  It can also be an humectant or a carrier in a large scope of applications such as confectionery, bakery, beverages, and dairy products. It is a white powder with a refreshing sweet taste but bland odour. It is produced by enzymatic hydrolysis of starch followed by the processes of purification, concentration, crystallisation and drying.
