Material: Fumaric acid is a food acidulant. It is generally used in beverages and baking powders for which requirements are placed on purity. It can also be used as a substitute for tartaric acid and occasionally in place of citric acid. Other applications can be found in some chemical, wood preservative and industrial latex formulations.
