Material: Melacide SC22 is an alternative to Sodium Metabisulphite for use in the treatment of prawns and other crustaceans. Melacide SC22 reduces the So2 residuals and providing the instructions we issue are followed, even with a double dip, we would not expect residuals to exceed 60ppm. It is non-hazardous and non-corrosive and will improve the shelf-life, colour, taste and texture of the crustacean.
