Material: Sodium Acetate Anhydrous is an organic sodium salt of acetic acid. It is a hygroscopic powder highly soluble in water. Sodium acetate is used as a food additive and as a seasoning to give food products a salt and vinegar taste. In the textile industry sodium acetate is used to neutralise sulphuric acid waste streams. It is also used a buffering agent to keep a relatively constant level of pH. Other applications of sodium acetate include dyes and colour intermediates, dehydrating agents and lab reagents.
