Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals is the legislation controlling chemicals into the EU and came into force in June 2007.
REACH is a substance based regulation with registrations being submitted, from 2010 to 2018, by manufacturers and importers in the EU where more than one tonne per year is sold.
It places responsibility on industry to manage the risks chemicals pose to health and the environment and to provide safety information to users.
Downstream users need to ensure they implement this safe use information which is communicated in the Exposure Scenarios, annexed to the Safety Data Sheet.
